Attention Please

We are kind of a big deal
standing in the street
rattling brains to provoke
and I do mean provoke.
The sun is sharp blue
coma steady and ruthless.
In an effort to establish
more security within the day
I have replaced the bones
in my body with red jelly.
Now I can fold over
and out of myself.
Peppermint toothpaste
in my veins. Those goddamn
birds with the names of stars
render the sky all but useless
to the hovering few.
