Happiness is a Red Racing Bike

See, your bike is better than mine. Its got the Dura Ace and the nicer wheeels.

I should have gotten that bike. For one thing I already had to replace the wheels and cranks. Freakin' walmart culture man, if you want something that isn't throw away, you need to pay top dollar.

BTW, that bike is a great bike for IMUSA with clip ones. My teammate Juancito rode that bike to a 5:15 split. He then "ran" 5:15 but thats another story.

Hey John:
I lovingly built that red racer from scratch. I wanted something durable and light so the specs were dictated by that.

I love that bike.

that does look like a nice bike. my brother builds his own bikes too. he custom built me a Stumpjumper years ago and i hang on to it even though i never get a chance to ride anymore. i should teach my dog to run alongside me while i ride. kill two birds et al. or kill two birds named al. my grandpa once had a man named al killed but that's another story and i digress....

do you mean 1966?

Hi Sand:

Nope, I meant '06. Which just so happened to be "The Year of Warm Guns," according to Newsweek (vol 13, issue 140, page 14, left hand side). I get the Beatles reference -- though their Warm Gun song was actually recorded in '68.

In '07 it's all about Red Racing Bikes, LCD Soundsystem, and your most excellent poems.

since you built it yourself you will appriciate it more. I paid more my own education and every month that I mail in the check I thank baby jesus for the chance to grow as a person.

You made excellent choices. those wheels are well known for being bomb proof, and dura ace is no joke.
